Demand Planner

A leading beverage company situated in the Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Demand Planner to join their team.

The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for:
  • Maintain PO and inventory information and reports to ensure timely delivery of merchandise while meeting initial fill rate and turn goals.
  • Develop monthly sales and inventory forecasts through vendor management tools and demand forecasting
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
  • Develop and measure inventory levels and service performance through KPIs.
  • Maintain all reports, which manage inventory levels and maintenance of backorders, in conjunction with communication to management about actions being taken to resolve any issues.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
  • Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years experience using forecasting/demand planning modules in an ERP system
  • Excellent MS Office and demonstrated Excel skills
  • Solid understanding of Inventory Management Practices and Procedures
  • The capability to work with large datasets and develop diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics models is a critical prerequisite
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
