Responsibilities:
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with dentists to coordinate and communicate comprehensive treatment plans to patients, ensuring they understand their options and next steps.
- Financial Consultation: Provide detailed explanations of treatment costs, payment plans, and financial arrangements, addressing any concerns and facilitating arrangements.
- Follow-Up Care: Schedule and manage follow-up appointments, ensuring that all patient needs are met throughout their treatment process.
- Coordination with Specialists: Facilitate referrals and coordination with dental specialists and external service providers as needed, ensuring seamless patient care and communication.
- Patient Education: Educate patients about their treatments, preventive care, and oral health practices, enhancing their understanding and commitment to their dental health.
- Financial Consultation: Providing detailed explanations of treatment costs, payment plans, and handling financial arrangements.
- Billing and Payments: Managing the full billing process, including coding, claim submissions, and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Coordination with Specialists: Facilitating referrals to specialists and coordinating with external providers.
- Technical Proficiency with Advanced Systems: Utilizing and troubleshooting advanced dental practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Proactive Patient Care and Follow-Up: Managing follow-up care, coordinating post-treatment appointments, and ensuring timely communication about treatment progress.
- Greet and assist patients in a courteous and kind manner, whether in person or telephonically.
- Patient Interaction and Management
- Greeting Patients: Welcome patients as they enter the dental office, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Checking In Patients: Confirm appointment details and update patient records upon arrival.
- Scheduling Appointments: Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments efficiently, managing the dentist's schedule to
- optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Answering Phone Calls: Handle incoming calls, provide information, address inquiries, and transfer calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Patient Reminders: Send out reminders for upcoming appointments via phone calls, text messages, or emails.
- Administrative duties
- Matric
- Additional education or certification in medical/dental office administration will be an advantage.
- 1- 2 years' experience in a similar dental administration position will be an advantage
- Computer literate & proficient in MS Office Suite
