We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Dentist from South Africa to work with one of our clients based in beautiful, historical England.

Our Clients

Most of our clients are within walking distance from the Town centre or High Street so you will have access to transport links via rail and bus, which are all safe and efficient to use. If you are driving, we have a selection of practices that offer on-site parking or youll find a car park nearby.

Our clients offer fully computerised and modern facilities, including spacious surgeries, staff and decontamination rooms, digital x-rays and professional support teams. Some of our clients also offer disability access, whilst others offer a comprehensive range of services, such as implants, sedation, orthodontic and endo, with the latest Cerec equipment. Each practice is unique.

Most of our clients offer a very established patient list, with excellent potential to increase private potential, whilst they offer 0% interest finance options for patients. Make sure to discuss this at the interview stage, with the selected practice.

The Working Hours

• This is a full-time position with a work-week of 32 hours+
• Surgery space available between Mondays Saturdays. You will receive a day off in lieu when working on a Saturday

The Contract & Benefits You Can Expect

• This is a 4-year work contract, which will support you with a Sponsorship License and can assist suitable applicants with a Tier 2 UK work visa, which may be extended after this period. * Please note that the new Employer is responsible for 2500 of the Visa fee, whilst the Candidate is responsible for a fee of 600 (paid to your new Employer to initiate the Visa application process)
• Dentists earn between 40, 000 and 180, 000 per annum, working full-time in the UK this range is dependent on the treatment options you deliver -
• We will discuss with you the specific Private, Independent and NHS earnings you can expect, at various stages of your new career in the UK
• We also discuss with you the lab expense fees and coordinate discussions for CPD, training and development requirements directly with the Practice Managers and Mentors you have selected

What you will need to be considered to work in the UK

1. Your Dental Degree qualification

• To become registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) in the UK, you will need a qualification from the following Universities, within the following timelines:
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) from the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) (granted between 1 January 1997 and 31 December 2000)
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) from the University of Pretoria (granted before 1 January 2001)
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) from the University of Stellenbosch (granted before 1 January 2001)
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) from the University of Western Cape (granted before 31 December 1997)
• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BChD) from the University of Witwatersrand (granted before 1 January 2001)

2. IELTS Academic exam certificate

To work in the UK, your English Language abilities will need to be tested through the IELTS

Academic test, for which you will need to score 7 or above. Please contact us for further advice

3. Apply for your GDC registration number

To work in the UK, you will need to be registered with the General Dental Council. You can find

order to start your registration. We are also here to help!

4. Occupational Health

To work in the UK, you will need to provide a Blood Serology result from your Doctor, describing

your Hep B / HIV results (in a certificate, dated within the past 5 years)

5. Professional Indemnity Insurance

Before you start work in the UK, you will need to provide an Indemnity Insurance Certificate, to

confirm that you have the appropriate indemnity for your scope of practise every year. Again,

6. Clinical References

Before you start work in the UK, you will need to provide two satisfactory clinical references,

covering your most recent two appointments.

7. Further Courses & CPD

Let us know if you have completed further Radiography, Safeguarding, Infection Control, CPR,

CPD or any other dental courses recently.
