DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATOR A (PEROMNES POST LEVEL 9)

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to render a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service which includes the following:
- Secretarial tasks for director and other personnel;
- Departmental, office and facility administration;
- Financial administration of the CAAC and individual staff members' research projects ;
- Administrative duties related to postgraduate programmes, departmental research as well as international research contracts; organizing workshops in person, online and hybrid.
- Programme liaison with students, industry partners, organisations for persons with disabilities and other academic institutions.
- A three - year national diploma in office administration or a secretarial field from an accredited institution with three years experience in administrative and/ or secretarial duties that includes office administration, secretarial experience, and financial administration; OR
- Grade 12 with five years experience as stated above;
- Experience of working in an environment with people with disabilities and knowledge of disability etiquette;
- Computer proficiency in MS Office: Word (advanced); PowerPoint (intermediate) Excel (intermediate) and Publisher (basic).
- Skilled in online meeting platforms;
- Organising skills and the ability to work independently under pressure;
- Ability to work as part of a team;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Appropriate language and communication skills.
- A relevant three-year degree;
- Skilled in the use of University Management Platforms e.g PeopleSoft;
- Experience within a higher education or academic environment
