Electrical Design Draughtsman will work closely with technical services, engineering and the external sales team to determine specifications for electrical and automation projects, design electrical system layouts and develop technical documentation & drawings related to the designs made. As part of the role, you will be responsible for executing EMs engineering solution offerings on behalf of partners and end-users.
Main responsibilities:
- General design of project electrical panel layouts & BOM generation
- Drawing of electrical PLC drawings, MCC drawings, panels, controls etc.
- Create and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Assist in maintaining and improving quality management system for panel manufacturing
- Assistance with R&D and new product development
- Assist engineer(s) with project documentation e.g. Engineering Drawings, etc.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- N5/N6 Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- Other Related Certification in Electrical Design and Draughting
- Experience in 2D Design & Draughting in AutoCAD
- (Flow Diagrams, General Layout Design, Basic Civil Draughting, etc.)
- Experience in 3D Design & Draughting in Autodesk or Solidworks Software
- Component Model Generation & Basic Component Draughting
- Experience in Electrical Draughting using EPLAN
- Quality Assurance and Working within Established Quality Systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
- Must have a good grasp of engineering and design principles
- 5 Years Design Experience in Electrical Engineering Environment
- Pro-active and creative approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
