Job Description

This role installs and maintains end-user and server-based computing facilities to specific business areas. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through own efforts.

Provides and maintains all end-user and server-based computing facilities to specific business areas.

Maintenance of these facilities involves direct dealings with CSC and other service providers.

Interacts with Helpdesk facility for business areas supported to identify issues for resolution.

Performs and maintains builds of new workstations inline with OM desktop management principles.

Performs and maintains builds of development servers as required by development teams in the business areas.

Provides assistance to CSC in the build of Production servers.

Maintains all end user computing facilities (e.g. printing, fax, telephone).

Liaises with CSC and provides recipes for third party software requirements for desktop builds.

Performs hardware and software audits to ensure compliance to licensing.

Performs regular research on MS desktop and server technologies and ensure patch releases are applied appropriately.
