Talent Development Partner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Development Partner to join our Global training team based in South Africa.

The person in this role is responsible for creating or elevating KCS U training for the School of Technology, for key growth products, and in support of the Schools of Leadership and Business. He/She will support the Global Head of TD to identify specific training tooling and manage the build out of the global LMS. Additionally, Udemy and the internal LMS will be indirectly managed by this Talent Development Partner. This will require the ability to effectively perform tasks analyses, prioritize key learning, and deconstruct technical jargon.

Learning methods should draw upon adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design. Learning roll out may be agile or modular with highest impact content focused on first. Rapid design could be required. Delivery and instructional materials developed in systems include but are not necessarily limited to software product, simulations, job aids, articles, videos, online micro-learning, training environment scenarios, job shadowing frameworks and objectives, participant guides, facilitator guides, storyboards, course assessments, and performance support recommendations. Upon completion of training solutions, the Talent Development Partner should be prepared to communicate the design rationale and deliver a train-the-trainer to SMEs or trainers.

Training success measures will also be defined and tracked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessment with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and stakeholders.
  • Manage all accesses and enrolments within thebl LMS and build out the system for the expansion KCS U and its four schools of learning
  • Design training frameworks, assessments, and develop training materials
  • Assist in the implementation of KCS U and manage the School of Technology
  • Attend planning and briefing meetings
  • Collaborate with employees to clarify any technical issues with learning tools
  • Use the product or service as needed to understand the technology and applications for which training or documentation is being prepared
  • Build, publish, and edit content within the LMS systems
  • Work on and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Create, maintain, and deliver to work schedules
  • Keep up to date with developments and trends in the industry
  • Deliver reporting on TD metrics and progress
  • Work collaboratively with other trainers and instructional designers.
  • Present content to stakeholders as required.
  • Develop excellent relationships, internally and externally.
  • Any other duties commensurate with role, as required
Key Requirements
  • A good command of grammar and vocabulary
  • The ability to express instructions clearly and briefly in simple language

  • Theoretical and practical comprehension of adult learning theories
  • Ability to interpret and bridge the connection between current and desired performance
