- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and vehicles to identify and address any issues.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems and propose solutions for repair.
- Repair and replace defective parts, components, or systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and steering mechanisms.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Use diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines and vehicle systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Grade 12
- Trade tested Diesel Mechanic,
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience,
- Welding experience,
- Boilermaking experience will be an advantage,
- Valid drivers license
