The position is required to assist with the refurbishment of mining equipment and specifically drilling equipment.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience Required
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Red Seal - Diesel Mechanic / Millwright
- Experience in component repairs (mainly Drills, but other mining equipment as well)
- Experience on Exploration Drills (Atlas Copco / Sandvik / Boart Longyear)
- Able to read and interpret hydraulic diagrams
- 3+ years' work experience on heavy earthmoving machinery or surface drilling machinery
- 3 5 years' experience on a Drill Rig in a mining environment.
- Previous experience on mine advantageous
- Fully bilingual and able to communicate verbally and in writing in English or Afrikaans
- Competent to use all tools and equipment effectively and in a safe manner
- Honest & reliable
- Good time keeping & attendance
