requires a Diesel Mechanic - Trade Tested Role: Diesel Mechanic - Trade Test
Location: Verulam, Durban SA
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance of fleet: Carry out repairs and maintenance according to prescribed standards and checklists
- Preventative Maintenance: Carry out inspections on prescribed checklists and undertake repairs as required
- Attend to breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs
- Ensure vehicles are (maintained) in line with legal requirements and company policies e. roadworthy etc.
- Maintain a safe and clean working place at all times
- Provide timely feedback to management with regard to breakdowns, repairs, services etc
- Perform ancillary duties to the above as determined by management on an ongoing basis
- Matric - Grade 12
- Qualified Artisan (Trade Test) with a minimum 5 years experience
- Experience in transport and logistic environment
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Sound knowledge in servicing and maintenance of trucks (Mercedes) and tankers /trailers
- Valid driver's license, preferably code EC and own transport
- Punctual
- Strong communication skills
- Analytical skills
