We have a fabulous in-house, in-office opportunity for a Junior to Mid-Weight Digital Designer at one of South Africas most legendary gaming and entertainment brands in Cape Town.
The Digital Designer is accountable to and responsible for producing layouts through conceptualising, designing, and delivering outstanding digital creative, print and artwork in line with the brief supplied.
Youll create artwork for various marketing campaigns with the aim of creating, entertaining and inspiring campaigns that produce energy and momentum, and that are relevant, engaging and interactive.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with copywriters to receive and prioritise briefs and promotional requests from Account Managers, properties and business; and deliver each element of the campaign to brief
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions to share new design concepts, perspectives and ideas
- Construct the conceptual design plan, concept and layout for gaming and other marketing promotions, ensuring content remains fresh and exciting
- Propose or provide advice on artistic designs and solutions
- Design and create enticing graphics for deliverables using relevant systems and tools
- Brief electronic, print and activation production to ensure idea is executed and delivered to its best potential
- Produce digital creative for emails, homepage, categories, landing pages, coding and deployment
- Brief and give constructive input during a shoot and/or recording and direct directors, photographers, stylists and art directors
- Concisely brief photographers with lighting, style, composition, lensing, mood, performance and grade references
- Concisely brief Art Buying, Digital, Radio, TV and Activation production to ensure best evolution of the idea
- Present graphics solutions to relevant stakeholders and obtain approvals on final content against brief
- Understand and adapt brand CI into all communication elements
- Conceptualise and complete art for 360-degree ideas: Digital Campaigns, Activations, Promotions, Experiential, TV, Print, and CRM
- Craft and manage TV processes from edit approvals, grading, on-lines, titling, etc.
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Graphic design or similar
- 5 years experience in print and digital design, preferably obtained in an agency
- Additional experience in DTP is an advantage
- Presentation of an artistic portfolio
- Conceptualising and strong visual thinking and solutions
- Understanding of company information & processes
- Advanced skills in Adobe CS; Office for Mac; Photoshop; InDesign; Illustrator, Keynote
- Computer literacy MS Office
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Digital acumen
- Team player but able to work independently
- Extensive knowledge of Photography, Typography, Design and layout.
