Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in Digital Marketing (minimum 3 years in a similar role).
- Highly creative, with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
- Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.
- PDF Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop with Camera Raw.
- Video Premier Pro and Media Encoder.
- Demonstrable experience leading SEO / SEM, marketing database, email, social media and / or display advertising campaigns.
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
- Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
- Solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns a must.
- Google Ads and Facebook ads knowledge is a major requirement.
- Knowledge of email platforms, such as Mail Chimp is a requirement.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress and JavaScript development and constraints would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
- Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
- Design, build, maintain and grow our social media presence across all channels:
- Threads
- TikTok
- Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO / SEM, Web-Analytics & Conversion Optimization marketing database, email, social media, website and display advertising campaigns.
- Google Ads and Facebook ads.
- Email platforms like Mail Chimp.
- Run A/B testing.
- SMS Marketing.
- Liaise with the external Marketing Company that does our WEB development when required.
- Maintain and update the company website, including tracking and recording all website statistics.
- Uploading of product data.
- Uploading of images.
- Uploading of updated stock quantities.
- Creation of Sales and Promotions.
- Writing of Blogs.
- Electronic Newsletters.
- Creating and adding new Banners.
- Managing of incoming orders.
- Communicating with Customers who log online queries.
- Ensure we are getting customer information cards completed in-store and then being captured into a database.
- Marketing opportunities through the different payment gateway.
- Build a positive relationship with each of the Retail Store Managers.
- Draw up an annual rolling marketing plan.
- Ensure that all required signage, marketing communication, etc. is ready well before the launch date of campaigns / promotions.
- Liaise with Retail Store Managers regarding the set-up of the campaign / promotion in-store.
- Loyalty program.
- As we are a pro-active retailer, we ensure that we get maximum exposure in each mall that we have a retail shop in.
- Communicate with each of the Marketing Managers at the Malls that we have retail shops in to understand their marketing plans, as well as marketing opportunities. Many have events scheduled that we need to tie into.
- Negotiate with these Marketing Managers to get the best exposure for our Retail Stores.
- Physical visits to the Malls is a requirement, especially in Port Elizabeth to look at various marketing opportunities.
- Build good working relationships with the Marketing Managers.
- Supply product images as required to our Wholesale customer base.
- There will be a requirement to create content for promotions or campaigns that we do with certain wholesale customers.
- Design the graphic content that will be used in the different social media platforms.
- Create Videos that get loaded on our In-store displays.
- Edit and resize images.
- Design the in-store signage.
- Design of the Hanging Labels that get put onto each of the products that are ordered.
- The Graphic Design requirement is a major aspect of the job and has many requirements.
- Manage and update the Digital Catalogue, as well as the sending out to the agents and customers as required.
- We currently partner with Algoa FM and Radio Kingfisher. Build relationships with the Radio Account Managers and look at opportunities that can benefit the business.
- Be part of the process of Radio Ad creation before the recording of the ad by the Radio Station.
- Keep control of all promotions, etc. being done with the radio stations.
- Look for opportunities to engage with influencers that could promote / enhance our product brands, as well as the Retail brand.
- Will be part of the negotiation process when opportunities arise.
- Manage the approved budgets for campaigns and look and getting maximum return on investment.
- Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
- Drive traffic and conversion through content marketing.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
- Identify, plan, execute, and measure experiments and conversion tests.
