What You'll Be Doing

The Digital Product Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing and optimizing digital products and services. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to product development, customer experience and digital strategy. It also plays an important role in delivery digital products that meet customer needs, drive business growth and stay competitive in the ever-evolving digital landscape with a customer-centric mindset to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

Digital Product Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers to conceptualize, plan, and develop digital products and features.

Identify customer needs, competitive analysis, and industry trends to inform digital product development,

Define product requirements, create user stories and maintain a product backlog.

Assist in defining the product roadmap and strategy.

User Experience (UX) Optimization Ensure that the digital product offers a seamless and user-friendly experience.

Analyse user behaviour and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement UX enhancements.

Conduct usability testing and A/B testing to refine the products design and functionality.

Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

Data Analysis Utilize data analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and user metrics.

Generate insights from data to make informed decisions about product enhancements and optimizations.

Monitor user engagement, conversion rates and other relevant metrics to assess product performance.

Stakeholder Communication Act as a bridge between different teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals and progress. Gather and prioritise feedback from various stakeholders to inform product improvements.

Technical Understanding Possess a strong understanding of digital technologies and platforms relevant to the products. Collaborate with development teams to address technical challenges and ensure the successful implementation of features.

Product Documentation Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides and release notes.

Ensure that all stakeholders have access to accurate and up-to-date product information.

Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure that the digital product complies with relevant regulations, security standards, and best practices.

Perform quality assurance testing to identify and resolve bugs and issues.

Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to suggest innovative solutions and improvements.

Actively seek feedback from users and stakeholders to drive ongoing enhancements.

Work Experience

Min 5 years Proven experience in digital product management or related role

Education

Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Business, computer science)

Skills & Competencies Required
  • Proven experience in digital product management or related role
  • Functional knowledge of digital business processes, web platforms, web application management, application deployment processes, web channel governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies, Confluence and Jira
  • Ability to work with several virtual teams consecutively.
  • Drive for results demonstrated by regular measurement against milestones and corrective action if issues arise.
  • High level of communication skills; written, email and verbal; including ability to adapt communication style to a suit customer and situation
  • Ability to prioritize workload & multi-task using various systems/reference points
  • Strong organization, proactivity and planning skills (project planning experience with examples of managing multiple deadlines & projects)
  • Ability to move at pace and adjust to business needs with agility

  • Key influencers and/or partnerships
  • Proven track record of consulting, negotiating, and influencing without authority.
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of organisational issues and challenges.
  • Working with various stakeholders inside and outside of the organization
