Our client manages a global portfolio of nearly 1.5 GW of renewable energy projects and is seeking an individual with EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE in the IPP space, to bridge the gap between their board and on-site engineers. This role entails overseeing all operational aspects of the plant.
The ideal candidate should possess over 5 years of leadership experience in managing utility-scale onshore wind plants and a background in setting up control room systems. The primary focus will be on managing and maintaining the DSC/SCADA and ensuring cyber security compliance. Importantly this role involves communicating, managing, and reporting plant performance across departments and management levels.

Education Requirements
- Bachelors degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Post graduate qualification or masters degree is preferred
- 8+ years experience in a leadership/management role at a utility-scale on-shore wind or solar plant
- Experience with OPEX and CAPEX budgeting systems
- Systems engineering experience is advantageous
- Previous wind and solar PV experience
The role encompasses various responsibilities across reporting, strategic support, operational and health & safety management, people management, financial oversight, commercial activities, stakeholder relations/compliance, systems engineering, information technology, performance analysis, and power and plant engineering.
The position also involves leading and directing functions related to systems engineering, information technology, and power and plant engineering, with a focus on asset management, performance analysis, and engineering systems. Responsibilities extend to legal, financial, and operational advisory roles, ensuring compliance with industry policies and regulations such as the OHS Act 16.2. Additionally, the candidate will nurture client relationships and oversee financial matters.
