OVERALL PURPOSE
The primary objective is to administer and process disbursement of advances to customers using the Loan Management System (LMS), payment providers and banking platforms. This will include proactively identifying disbursement errors, applying known solutions and escalating more challenging errors to the relevant departments.
The aim of this role is to support our customers and Finance Operations team by processing the growing volumes of transactions, escalating errors, and capturing data as required.
Responsibilities will include:
- Process automated disbursement transactions through the LMS and 3rd party payment providers
- Load manual disbursements (including refunds) to our customers when required
- Set up and confirm the accuracy of debit orders in line with agreed advance schedules
- Prepare customer statements
- Effectively resolve customer queries internally
- Adhere to specified standards, policies, and procedures to prevent potential losses
- Team support as required
- Matric with relevant National Higher Certificate qualification (completed National Diploma is a bonus)
- Minimum 3 years relevant administrative experience in a financial services environment (within a payment processing/finance operations role)
- Fintech experience will be advantageous
- Experience with relevant online banking platform/in-house systems
- Computer Literacy (MS Excel, Google Suite, Slack, Banking platforms)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Good time management skills, showing the ability to manage self and prioritise tasks
- Strong work ethic and high standards for achievement, bring their best every day
