Dispatch Manager

Responsibilities

Daily liaison with Factory Manager and QC Manager to establish workflow deadlines and completions
Weekly meeting with Factory Manager and QC Manager to establish following weeks' outputs
Daily Liaison with Customers for collection notifications
Daily update of Excel report to Sales Team & Finance Team updating on orders collected, delivered and overdue
Keep dispatch area in a clean and organised state at all times and maintain 48-hour rectification policy
Establish systems to deal with the frequent arrival of collections vehicles, and loading time slots
Establish system to acknowledge Drivers who are collecting within 5 minutes of arrival
Establish and maintain a system of pre planning for the following days collections /deliveries
Ensure that Crating & Boxing sections runs in advance of collections and allocate an area for crated/boxed ready to be dispatched goods
Stock of timber and boxes to be ordered timeously
Ensure that each and every collection and delivery Is signed for on a delivery note
Ensure that all QC slips are sent to Finance/Invoicing on a daily basis
Ensure that work environment conform to safety policies and requirements
Report incidents within 24 hours
Ensure that personnel are trained in safety requirements and procedures
Ensure that forklift is checked daily
Ensure that required PPE is used at all times
Complete performance contracts for all employees
Performance management and tasking
Discipline employees according to company disciplinary procedure
Identify training needs
Compile training plan
Implement training plan

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent
Degree/Diploma in logistics and workflow organisation/supply chain logistics
Minimum 5 years of dispatch management experience in a manufacturing environment
Literate on Excel, Word, Outlook
Visual would be beneficial
