An upmarket night club in Port Elizabeth is looking for door and security people for day and night shifts.
Job responsibilities:
- Greets guests courteously by using service skills.
- Checks to make sure patron identification meets necessary age requirements for entry.
- Must be sharp, multitasking, good eye for Sharp objects, Fire arms and illegal narcotics.
- Must wand all patrons and inspect bags upon guests entering the club.
- Must be able to communicate with Supervisor or Manager regarding any issues.
- Patrols inside and outside the club to preserve order among patrons and protect property.
- Must be able to prevent or tackle any kind of inappropriate behavior from patrons.
- Must be able to identify intoxicated patrons and remove them.
Job requirements:
- Must be able to work independently along with team mentality.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 12 kg or more.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to maneuver in high traffic areas and responds to aural and visual signals.
- Must be able to work in areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights.
