The purpose of the job is to produce engineering drawings, parts lists and BOM’s
Draughting
- Creating sales drawings (GA drawings)
- Design of new manifold blocks
- Cylinder design
- Reverse engineer components and create drawings
- Hydraulic circuit diagrams and parts lists
- Update drawings and parts lists
- To give technical support to sales and factory
Administrative Functions
- Drawing office admin
- Quotation/follow-ups – preferred not essential
- Client liaison/Technical sales
- Drawing control
- Creating/updating of parts lists and assist with BOM’s
- Requirements
Skills Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Mechanical Design Diploma
- Minimum 5 years active working experience as a Draughtsman (preferably in mechanical environment)
- Fitting and turning background and/or experience in manufacturing – very advantageous
- Hydraulic experience
- Worked in an ISO environment
- Inventor software package – not negotiable
- Autodesk Auto CAD – background
