Safely operate and control rigid/articulated trucks.
Conduct pre-use inspections on the vehicles.
Safely operate a front-end loader.
Assist with off-loading of materials and equipment.
Transport material and equipment's safely by means of Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM).
Report to supervisor on roadworthiness defects of TMM.
Ensure operational efficiency of loading and off-loading of passengers and materials.
To work shifts.

About The Employer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To transport processing goods (silica sand, reverts and coal) and materials safely by means of Trackless Mobile Machinery.

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

Grade 12/Std 10 (NQF Level 4) is essential.
Drivers' License Code C1 is essential.
Drivers' License Code EC with PRDP will be advantageous.
Working knowledge of the Road Traffic Act will be advantageous.
3 years working experience as a Front-End Loader is essential.
Valid Medical Certificate, or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.

Competencies

Must be self-driven and highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have skills to safely operate TMM.
Defensive driving skill would be essential.
Ability to work effectively with people of all cultures.
