To provide a safe and reliable shuttle service by transporting patients from clinics to referral institutions.
Requirements
- National Senior Certificate is essential
- Must have a valid Code 10 drivers licence
- It is essential to have a Professional Driving Permit
- The incumbent must be proficient in English (speak, read and write)
- Able to speak different African languages and understand Fanakalo
- Participation in afterhours schedule which includes weekends and public holidays is required
- Willing to work shifts if/when required
- Daily transport schedule checks.
- Ensure all patients are in possession of referral and/or authorisation letters before leaving the clinic.
- Transporting of authorised patients to different referral institutions and back in line with authorised routes/drop-off zones.
- Translate for patients at the receiving points of other health care institutions.
- Transportation of scripts and medication.
- Be attentive to the traffic and weather conditions, stay on schedule and ensure the safety of passengers at all times.
- Uphold a positive image of the Company by applying safe driving habits.
- Ensure that the vehicle is in operating condition by testing brakes, tires, lights and other components.
- Notify the relevant person of any issues encountered (mechanical failure, lateness, route deviation, accidents etc.) and compete reports where necessary.
- Complete the pre-trip inspection daily and submit it to the relevant person.
- Ensure that the vehicle is cleaned according to schedule.
- Complete diesel and oil log.
- Ensure that his/her PDP and Code 10 drivers license is always valid.
- Perform general clinic related errands.
