Full time office based in Montague Gardens
Responsibilities
- Conduct a monthly audit of the companys online performance and identify, analyze and implement agreed-upon solutions
- Liaise regularly with Procurement to determine and manage strategies for selling discontinued or slow-moving inventory items
- Identify and develop new online business opportunities. Make new product recommendations based on market analysis, emerging trends, and client feedback. Identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
- Regularly review onsite search results and make recommendations to improve sales and conversion.
- Oversee the execution of recommended changes
- Identify and correct any issues that may arise with our eCommerce platforms and portals (e.g. security, functionality, accuracy, performance)
- Monitor and reduce the number of returns from online platforms
- Oversee allocation (reserved stock) and forecast replenishment quantities needed to maintain optimum inventory levels of key online selling items
- Continuous product knowledge development and sharing that knowledge with the team.
- Ensure forecasts are received for key accounts
- Take ownership of key account relationships and activities/strategies to drive growth
- Work closely with the online team to ensure standards, priorities, and goals are being met
- Maintain good relationships with existing partners (clients, suppliers, internal)
- Develop a streamlined content strategy, process, and pipeline appropriate to the eCommerce experience and portal capabilities
- Manage marketing efforts including newsletters, sales flyers, sponsored ads, daily deals, promotions, etc
- Manage day-to-day activities relevant to eCommerce business processes and improvements keeping company SOPs up to date, improving efficiencies and the customer experience
- Conduct monthly site testing and regular site walks to ensure Brands/Products are represented with 100% accuracy at all times
- Manage new product uploads, category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional activities, ensuring that the customers receive the most accurate depiction of our products
- Ensure all new products are loaded, listed, priced and marketed prior to arrival at our warehouse
- 5 years of work experience in a fast-paced eCommerce business, preferably in the FMCG market
- Hands-on experience managing and maintaining multiple digital sales channels (B2C and B2B)
- Ability to manage and motivate direct reports and collaborate across the organization
- Creativity and exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Uses data to make informed decisions
- Knowledge of various business areas such as marketing strategy, financial analysis, and supply chain oversight
- Solid understanding of different technological components of eCommerce web design/development skills, search engine optimization, data mining, and security issues
- Able to multitask, and adapt to fluctuating workload, while prioritising effectively to meet deadlines and strategic objectives
- Ability to use initiative and develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles
- Competency in all computer packages, i.e., Outlook, Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint etc.
