The Opportunity
The Senior Education Officer Is Responsible To
- provide Education Services for children who come under the care of, or to the attention of the Department of Communities, with an emphasis on more complex cases
- develop and maintain education programs and supports to children, schools, carers and/or families
- consult and negotiate with internal and external education stakeholders as appropriate
- provide educational and social skill development to the child, family or caregiver where appropriate
- coordinate, implement and support education related Departmental projects and policy initiatives
- provide education case practice consultation and support to assigned Education Officers
You will need to have a completed Bachelors Degree in Education or relevant equivalent to meet the requirements for this position. All overseas qualifications must have been assessed for Australian Equivalency.
There is currently one [1] permanent position available for immediate filling. The successful applicant can be based in either Broome or Kununurra.
