The purpose of this role is to proactively create and own Demand Generation strategies and activities for the consumer print and photo category across South African markets by increasing awareness, education and desire for these brand leading products amongst customer and consumers whether non-users or lapsed users.
This is a specialised roles requiring extensive marketing experience preferably within the photographic industry. Initially the role will require you to develop, deliver, manage and maintain product education platform for end users and partner/retailer staff. This candidate will work closely with the B2C Sales, Marketing, product management, services and support, Channel, Corporate and marketing communications teams.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager performance areas include, but are not limited to:
- Brainstorm and develop activity to create new demand for The Company consumer products.
- Work closely with Education lead at Head Quarters and propose education / tutorial training formats video, graphics or slides.
- Solution to be extensively considered and targeted formats for different audience and/or different product categories.
- Training created in a way that its modular and can fit into another platform, for e.g. virtual showroom.
- Investigate possible education delivery platform(s) with high consideration for capital expenditure and maintenance expenditure.
- The platform to be approved from a security, compliance and brand point of view. The reuse of platform also should be considered for e.g. service training.
- Create and document a process where new product content is available in a timely manner (i.e., start of sales).
- Work with sales function to ramp up use of this education platform. Agree shared KPIs with sales function.
- Develop marketing collateral to promote the new tool. Market to Partners and Retailers. Position to retailers as key competitive advantage.
- Training of customers or facilitation of training. Ensuring salespersons at customers (Retail, Distribution) are adequately trained on product and have access to information needed.
- Manage training / education for end users that are hosted by our agencies.
- Matric essential.
- Degree or higher-level education (preferred).
- High Level of B2C product knowledge (OPP and Photovideo) knowledge required.
- Familiarity with MS Office Applications, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Experience in managing projects.
- Flexibility to respond to travel needs at short notice.
- Overseas travel and periods away from home.
- Significant experience in marketing and /or sales.
- Professional appearance, attitude and communication.
- Open to SA citizens with a clear criminal and credit history.
- Valid unendorsed Drivers License, with own vehicle (preferred).
