- Recruit, develop and manage the ETNSHE team of the site, ensuring knowledge transfer and change management
- Manage the Departments budget.
- Coordinate the implementation of the local SHE policy on the authority of the site manager:
- Establish an internal SHE and property audit system
- Drafting of the SHE and property action plans of the site, together with the site
- Management Committee Member.
- Advising the other Departments of the site on their SHE approach
- Relay the corporate SHE and property policy by circulating standards and rules; ensure corporate reporting of the local ETN & SHE results
- Act as the owner when proposing and managing ETN projects on the site with outside companies
- Maintain regular relationships with local authorities and provide them with the mandatory SHE and town
- planning information
- Allow or forbid the use of installations, buildings and equipment on the site according to the results of the risk analysis
- Organise the analysis of incidents and implement actions to eliminate the causes.

- Knowledge of risk assessment methods.
- National Diploma or Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Good knowledge of relevant local legislation (e.g. OHS Act and its regulations, COID Act, etc)
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years experience in project related environment.
- Knowledge of ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
