Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conferring with customers, transport engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential equipment requirements used within Public Transport solutions.
- Prepare, implement, and communicate quality assurance plan and requirements to all project stakeholders.
- Ensuring that installation, maintenance, and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications and technical drawings.
- Establishing manufacturing or installation standards or specifications.
- Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
- Prepare specifications for purchasing of equipment and materials.
- Conduct on-site inspections of all installation activities on regular basis.
- Participates in the selection of contracted staff.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and provides advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation.
- Supervising of training project and client technical team members.
- Estimating material and labour costs for budget preparation.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelors degree in engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Four (4) years of (full-time equivalent) verifiable professional experience in engineering project administration. Experience in the commissioning of Transportation systems will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of applicable standards related to electronic engineering.
