The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing Electrical Engineering projects, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and delivering projects on time and within budget. This role demands extensive experience in substation design, electrification, medium voltage (MV) reticulation, and building services including Solar Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage electrical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring all project goals are met.
- Design and Engineering: Provide expert input and oversight in the design and implementation of substations, electrification, and MV reticulation systems including Solar Projects.
- Technical Leadership: Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists within the team.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and managed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects comply with ECSA and SACPCMP regulations, as well as other relevant standards and codes.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets to ensure financial targets are achieved.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of work.
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
A Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
Must be Professionally Registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech.
Must be Registered as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) with the SACPCMP.
Must have a minimum of 10 years post-ECSA registration experience in substation design, electrification, MV reticulation, and building services including Solar Projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant electrical engineering software and tools.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
