The key requirement is solid plant construction / project implementation experience with solar PV projects up to 50MWp. Candidates should have an Engineering Degree (essential – BEng BSc or higher) , as well as experience with resource assessment, plant design (using PVSyst) and pricing, and preparation of proposals in response to public tenders. Business development experience will be an advantage, but not essential. We are not looking for a younger engineer with solid technical knowledge and experience. Â
The client is looking for a Project Manager to manage a solar PV project (~20MW) in Zambia, based in Lusaka. While the project is under development (ie before construction) the candidate will probably spend more time in Johannesburg. The candidate must be able to manage the whole project, including EPC and subcontractors, liaise with authorities, keep to timelines and within budget.
He should preferably be an electrical engineer with strong technical skills, including resource assessment and plant design, and have site experience in dealing with construction issues.
