Electrical Team Leader

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Team Leader to join the Uitenhage team,

• Lead and supervise the electrical maintenance team,
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, motors, sensors, and other control components.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to address electrical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance procedures to identify and address potential equipment failures before they occur.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among the electrical maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical maintenance and injection moulding

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Trade tested Electrician / Millwright
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an injection moulding environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including PLC programming, electrical circuitry, and industrial control systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical faults and performing repairs using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics and pneumatics,
