Purpose of the Position
To lead the electrical department, ensure compliance on electrical installations, build customer relations and to ensure continued product and process development.
Key responsibilities
- Project Management of electrical projects
- Provide input into business strategy
- Build and improve Electrical Operations Strategy
- Lead, develop and manage electrical team
- Research and development of electrical equipment to cater to customer requirements
- Manage the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Managing service level agreements with customers
- Oversee and manage electrical contractors
- Oversee and manage electrical administration, ie control sheets, quotes etc.
- Effective management of departments budgets
- Compile, update and maintain relevant reporting and administration
- Managing quotation process of Electrical team
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical engineering
- Project Management essential
- Electrical Wireman's licence advantageous
- 8 years experience in Electrical environment
- Minimum 3 years in middle management
- Experience in managing a team
- Knowledge of OHASA related to electrical work
- Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and prioritise
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication in both English and Afrikaans
- Good business acumen with accuracy in costings/budgets
- Computer literacy: G-Suite/MS Office Intermediate level
- Competencies required: Leadership, Coaching, Problem Assessment, Stress Tolerance, Planning, organising and control, detail orientation and business acumen
- Ability to build relationships across various businesses
