Electrical Sales Representative

Our client is looking for an Electrical Sales Representative.

Area/ Location: Durban, KwaZuluNatal

Requirements
  • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Knowledge of AC and DC Projects
  • Must be able to calculate and understand backup loads
  • Must have reference of projects
  • Minimum of 5 years sales or Key Account management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience in the IT or Network Infrastructure industries
  • A relevant degree / diploma will be an advantage
  • Must have Industry related knowledge of alternative power generation:
  • Solar (Design and Implementation)
  • Inverters High and Low voltage (Grid tie, Hybrid, Off Grid)
  • Batteries (Lithium and Lead Acid) understand the concept and differences
  • Wind Turbines
  • EV charging will be an advantage
  • UPS Systems (single phase and 3 phase)
  • Generator Systems (Diesel and Petrol - single phase and 3 phase)
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and MS Projects
  • Experience with budgeting and basic finances
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Extensive experience with Customer Service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Must have a valid Driver's Licence and own vehicle
  • Must comply with the Company's policies and procedures

Responsibilities
  • Sales o Identify potential Clients and projects as well as follow up on new leads and referrals o Conduct site surveys o Create new business opportunities for the Company by presenting and selling products and services to new and existing Clients o Ongoing Client communication regarding new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback o Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets set by Management
  • Client Management
  • Manage and develop existing Key Accounts through quality checks and other follow-ups
  • Identify and resolving Client concerns and or queries
  • Maintain a professional relationship with the Clients by delivering and adhering to their requirements as well as offering
  • customer support both during and after the project has been completed
  • Manage the quality and consistency of product and service delivery
  • Manage the progress of the projects
  • Administration
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, tenders and contracts
  • Prepare status reports including sales forecasts, information on activity, closings, follow-ups, and adherence to goals
  • Prepare feedback reports for Management meetings
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
  • Develop and maintain the customer base in order to meet all sales forecasts and budgets
  • Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Responsibilities o Report any deviations that could lead to an accident o Participate in Safety Training to improve safety standards o Report incidents and accidents before the end of a shift o Adhere to the Company's Health and Safety policy and procedure o Look after your own safety and that of other employees o Ensure that the SHEQ Management System requirements are met towards customer, internal, ISO, regulatory / legal requirements.
  • Manage and perform all internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the Organization's products.
  • Work with Customers, Colleagues and Contractors towards continual improvement of the Management system and report the need for improvement to Management.
  • Keep up standards and regulations with respect to Products and Services
  • Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities in line with your capabilities and at the request of your Superior
