We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our FSE team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in telecommunications infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical principles, telecommunications technology, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in telecommunications facilities, including power distribution systems, backup generators, and battery systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the reliability and safety of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
- Collaborate with telecommunications engineers and technicians to support the installation and integration of telecommunications equipment.
- Adhere to industry regulations and safety standards, including NFPA, NEC, and OSHA guidelines, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and work orders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior electricians and telecommunications staff as needed.
- Stay informed about advancements in telecommunications technology and electrical systems to enhance job performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical work preferred.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, including AC/DC circuits, voltage, current, and resistance.
- Experience working with telecommunications equipment such as routers, switches, antennas, and fiber optics.
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment, hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate maintenance schedules and emergency repairs.
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform manual labor as required.
