As an Engineering team member, you will be involved and responsible for designing, testing, and characterisations of existing and new hardware. Your skill in being able to understand and interpret analog and digital schematics to develop electronic hardware and associated firmware that will fully characterize the circuits will stand you in good stead.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing on Embedded microprocessor development e.g. Microchip PIC, STM8, STM32
- Creating, validating and implementing automated product test and verification equipment
- Ability to read, understand and breakdown electronic schematic design tools (Altium Designer)
- Scripting as required (e.g. Python)
- Developing software as required - C, C++ Programming
- Active participation in stand-up meetings and where necessary peer reviews
- Interfacing hardware and software providing positive feedback and recommendations on improvements
- Hardware evaluation and implementing of new approved iterations
- Continuous Improvements along development cycle
- Team work which could entail coaching, mentoring and upskilling of employees
- Creating and or maintaining of all hardware documentation ensuring traceability
- Working within company framework, maintaining quality and client requirements and adhering to specifications
Minimum Requirements:
- B Eng. Electronic Engineering.
- Plus 4 years practical hardware experience
- Embedded microprocessor development experience, e.g. Microchip PIC, STM8, STM32
- Previous experience of automated product test and verification equipment is desirable
- Electronic schematic design tools (Altium Designer)
- Scripting (e.g. Python)
- C, C++ Programming
Advantageous:
- Experience with Xilinx/ARM computing platforms.
- Knowledge of or experience in D0-178 Safety Critical Software development.
