The Sales Manager will systematically develop, support and implement growth strategies to achieve or exceed booking targets for the territory. Opportunities can range from targeted Project business and orders from the current installed base, replacement of obsolete products, competitor displacement for Emerson's pioneering technologies. A large portion of this role with involve the engaging of customers, country sales managers and the Local Business Partners to ensure successful execution. What will be my primary responsibilities in this role:
- Lead the Pressure Management Business and take direct responsibility for sales for Pressure Management products, services sales & business development initiatives.
- Focus on current white space, developing business from diversified industry group (like power, metal, mining, etc.), developing local partners and re-sellers.
- Review and address RFQ requests from customers from commercial, technical and operational standpoints. Participate in RFQ/Bid evaluation and submission of DOA deck for management approval.
- Convert RFQ into PO/contracts and process it to the Order Entry team as per the requirement for clean order entry.
- Engage, empower and work closely with the Inside Sales team on developing a technically suitable and most robust solution.
- Engage early with end users and EPC to influence the spec and agree on acceptable T&Cs.
- Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans.
- Take a pro-active role in defining strategies for winning projects as well as supporting Destination pursuit activities to achieve order conversion and improve the potential for PRM Business Unit.
- Effectively use CRM Cloud as the main tool (single point of truth for sales funnel/info) to monitor sales activities.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, Instrumentation or Chemical.
- 5-7 years in direct selling experience with Oil & Gas customers with a track record of achieving sales targets, driving business development, and leading customer relationships.
- Strong differentiated value & technical selling experience in Hydrocarbon, LNG, Chemical &Power industries would be preferred
