Job Summary
EQ8 Recruit has been engaged to help recruit an Engineer (Upholsterer).
This role of the Engineer will be responsible for designing and all duties related to the manufacturing of the Upholstery Products. The engineer will also need to create and nest various patterns to be cut on the CNC. The materials can include but are not limited to Vinyl, Fiber Glass, Foam. The Engineer will also be responsible for the efficiency of the CNC Cutter.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-
- Minimum: Diploma in Engineering Mechanical or Similar and Exposure within Upholstery Manufacturing environment;
- Ideal: B-Tech or related degree;
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years exposure within a Manufacturing environment;
- Working knowledge of Solid Works;
- Advantage: Experience with nesting software and Upholstery.
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-
- Responsible for Nesting equipment to improve the design or manufacturing process;
- Responsible for Upholstery designing, Pattern Design, Create Nesting and new drawing creation and all CAD and Office related duties;
- Creating, Flattening and Nesting of various materials used in production;
- Responsible for the Efficiency of the Vinyl Cutter CNC;
- Engineering Change Request (ECR) process and detailing work on both new products and projects;
- Plan prepare and implement a new project scope, deliverables, timeline, and project risk and calculate a project cost on all relevant projects.

A market-related salary based on the level of responsibility for this role is on offer.
