Overview

Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Group Engineering Manager to lead our mining engineering team in Gauteng. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the mining industry, with proven leadership skills and a track record of successfully managing engineering projects. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within the organization, including planning, design, and execution of mining projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineering professionals to ensure successful completion of mining projects.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve operational efficiency and maximize production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions for mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• GCC Mines and Works
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering management roles within the mining industry.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
• Strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering successful engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of mining regulations, health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
