RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a qualified Engineering Planner to join our team in the mining industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all engineering planning activities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the mining site in Northern Cape. The Engineering Planner will work closely with various teams to develop and maintain detailed schedules for maintenance, repairs, and projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain engineering schedules for maintenance work, shutdowns, projects, and any other related activities
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects
- Monitor and track progress on engineering activities, and report on any delays or issues that may arise
- Assure that safety and environmental regulations are followed in all engineering planning activities
- Manage and update the asset management system to track maintenance activities and to optimize equipment performance
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Engineering Trade Test Certificate
- N3 Engineering Certificate
- Programme in maintenance management certificate
- Supervisory certificate
- Programme in Project Management
- Minimum of five years' operational artisan experience
- Minimum of two years' operational enterprise asset management system experience
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure
