MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A recognized Engineering Trade qualification - Electrical (Section 13/26D) is essential.
- Grade 12/NQF level 4 qualification is essential.
- N6 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Foreman is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Engineering Foreman at a Processing Plant is essential.
- Registered with a recognised Engineering body (e.g.ECSA) will be an advantage.
- Condition Monitoring qualification and experience will be an advantage.
- Project Management qualification and experience will be an advantage.
- A recognised qualification in Planned Maintenance will be an advantage.
- Performance Management skills is essential
- Problem solving & organisational skills are essential
- Experience in the execution or site management of construction projects will be advantageous.
- General knowledge of various engineering trades is essential.
- Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential.
- Knowledge of SAP maintenance systems is essential
- Knowledge of disciplinary procedure is essential
- Knowledge of legislative & mine standards is essential
- A valid drivers licence and own transport is essential.
- A valid medical certificate or medically fit to obtain one.
- To achieve and maintain plant and equipment efficiency and running time
- To implement contingency plans to reduce production losses
- To implement effective operational and tactical management principles and procedures
- To effectively monitor via budgeting and project management methodologies
- To ensure compliance & review legislative and engineering standards
- To perform routine maintenance on mills including all its auxiliaries, compressors, pumps, crushers, conveyors, furnaces, spray and flash dryers, converters and acid plant equipment.
- Ensure adherence to Impalas standards and procedures.
- Oversee Foremen performance, maintenance on infrastructure and equipment.
- Be involved in managing safety, health and environmental standards including good housekeeping.
