Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Manager, who will be the de-facto lead of AESGs environmental division in South Africa. The Environmental Manager will lead a remote project management and project delivery arm of AESGs environmental division, working with colleagues across the Middle East. The two primary purposes of the role, at least in the early days, will be: report writing, and project management. The role will also require the individual to assist in the growth and development of AESGs environmental team in-country, including all aspects of line management, recruitment, resource management, and business planning.

- Delivery of environmental consultancy projects to high levels of quality within project deadlines
- Where applicable, development of strong relationships with existing and new clients through project delivery
- Provide guidance and leadership to more junior team members and provide formal mentorship and line management
- Provide both a project management and project director role for specific, separate, projects
- Bachelors degree in an Environmental discipline
- Minimum 12 years experience with at least 5 years working as an Environmental Manager
- Independent project management of complex issues
- Technical expertise and leadership, particularly in EIA/ESIA/EMP
- Ability to independently represent the company in client facing role and manage client satisfaction.
- Line management and ensuring continuous technical improvement within the division
