Job Summary
EQ8 Recruit has been engaged to help recruit a Group Raw Material Planner, to be responsible for analyzing and evaluating business processes against desired outcomes with guidance from group functional leads (SCM, Ops Finance, MIM). The Group Raw Material Planner will identify gaps in existing business processes at a systemic and competency level. They will also solve systemic process problems through bottom up formal problem-solving techniques, and implement automated dashboards, KPI decks and data gathering to enable change execution. The Group Raw Material Planner will report to the Group Supply Chain Manager.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
In order to be shortlisted for this role, you have the following skills and experience, but not limited to:-
- BSc, BCom Hons, B.Eng. or BTech degree
- Prepared to work in a fast paced, high variability environment
- Working knowledge of Paper Mills scheduling and South African paper suppliers
- Understanding of ERP systems specifically related to manufacturing environment
The role responsibilities will include, but not limited to:-
- Attend daily planning and delivery meetings to ensure plant is delivering on production and delivery objectives in line with KPIs, supply plan and budget
- Oversee and sign off call off and receiving schedules at plants in line with KPIs.
- Own the Critical Paper Reports and all inputs into such reports for all group corrugator plants.
- Liaise with plants, suppliers and paper procurement.
- Execute and deliver Group Critical Paper report with relevant mass balance checks and schedule governance.
- Escalate plant level failures such as stock accuracy and receiving errors.
- Develop and present monthly and paper supply plan in line with production supply plans, procurement excess or constraints and supplier production plans.
- Escalate future stock out risks by SKU, plant and week.
- Make suggestions on intergroup stock movements to relieve stock outs.
- Escalate future warehouse space constraints by week.
- Compile and present Group Paper Orders (Domestic and Import) within Supply plan and procurement plan requirements.
- Review and action stock at suppliers within plan/agreement.
- Input/interface material supply to NPD team.
- Input/interface own mill supply to QFD inputs.
- Attend monthly Group Supply Review with relevant KPIs.
- Compile and present Monthly Paper Buying KPIs vs Supply Plan.
- Create, automate and standardise and roll out scorecards, KPIs and repeatable reports for the use of SC function staff over and above paper buying business intelligence with guidance from Group functional heads.
