Our client in the finance industry is looking for an Ergonomist to join their team. Some of the main responsibilities will include ensuring that the employees are provided with an environment that is both safe and healthy. This will be achieved by reviewing work practices, taking risk assessments to identify hazards, and recommending changes as required. Additionally, the incumbent must ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1998 (OHS Act) by conducting ergonomic assessments in line with relevant legislation such as the World Health Organization's International Labour Organization's (ILO) guidelines on workplace health and safety.
Requirements- 3- Year Bachelor's Degree/ Honours (Non-negotiable)
- Ergonomics education: Total 360 hours
- 2 years experience in ergonomics within the corporate or banking industry
- Computer literacy in Office Applications and effective communication skills, written and oral
- Ability to apply ergonomics knowledge to execution of tasks
Responsibilities- Identify ergonomic risk factors or problems
- Implement an Ergonomics Standard and related controls
- Create an awareness of Ergonomics and conduct Risk Assessments
- Analyze and interpret findings for ergonomics investigations
- Make appropriate recommendations for ergonomics changes
