Salary: to R15000 + extremely high, compounding commission (OTE R300,000+)
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 2pm to 9pm (covering UK & USA time zones) Friday 9am to 3.30pm (Beer O’Clock)
The Social Effect is a UK/USA social media marketing agency that helps many of the world’s leading conference and tradeshow brands (such as Messe Frankfurt, IDG etc.) and technology giants (such as Microsoft, HP etc.) to use data, social media and content to deliver precision social media marketing solution to their global audience.
Our Cape Town delivery team, based in a super cool Kloof Street office is a rapidly expanding team of 15 and will be 30 by the end of 2017.
Over the last twelve month we have invented two unique social media marketing solutions that are proving to be extremely successful in helping our conference and trade show clients to increase event registrations and visitor numbers at a fraction of the cost of their other marketing channels.
We are looking for two Business Development Managers to help drive sales of these solutions into the UK and USA event industry.
Armed with incredible case studies, great marketing collateral, the ability to offer ‘free’ trials and a marketing company’s lead generation machine behind you, this position is a hungry sales persons dream!
What we are looking for:
1-2 years minimum previous event/conference/trade show sales experience. You MUST have previous experience selling sponsorship, exhibition or conference tickets
- You must have outbound telesales experience (within your event experience)
- Alternatively you MUST have 2+ years of B2B telesales experience with a proven closing track record
- We are looking for people with awesome communication skills – both written and verbal
- An excellent understanding of social media (although extensive training will be given)
