The Events Manager oversees and orchestrates successful area event planning and execution to support business priorities and connection to global programs. You leverage data to gain insights to maximize business impact of flagship events and drive ongoing portfolio and program optimization. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple stakeholders across Solution Areas, Segments, and Industry teams while orchestrating event planning and execution in your area. You will grow your skills at connecting marketing and sales while supporting an event marketing approach that feeds into the appropriate marketing signals for sellers. You will also have the opportunity to work on the latest innovations in marketing as part of a global team of world-class marketers influencing the next phase of marketing innovations for Microsoft.
Responsibilities
- You execute local events that are aligned to the global event framework and marketing technology (MarTech) capabilities to drive business priorities (e.g., acquisition, nurture, re-engagement) leveraging appropriate target lists and digital tools.
- You collaborate with Corporate HQ teams and local stakeholders to align Marketing event plans to Corporate strategy, capabilities, and engines.
- You gather and share internal and external feedback about quality of event plans.
- You deliver and optimize on marketing event plans based on insights and local market knowledge.
- You incorporate inclusive marketing and accessibility principles, leading practices, and tools in event execution.
- You partner with Corporate HQ teams to create and improve event tools if additional needs are uncovered.
- You review event marketing activities for any gaps with global guidance and compliance standards (e.g., accessibility, privacy, security, brand).
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND solid integrated marketing (e.g., campaign planning and execution, digital marketing), event management, program management, marketing operations (including campaign reporting and analysis), or related work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
