Main Purpose
The incumbent will assist the Head of EGO and the Deputy Head of EGO to manage all functional responsibilities associated with the day-to-day planning, execution, reviewing, and refining of examinations and graduations processes at the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head, Deputy Head, and the Senior EGO Officer with the coordination of all examination-related activities which include the collation of all information related to examinations and tests, and the printing of examination papers.
- Assist the Head, Deputy Head, and the Senior EGO Officer with the coordination of all Graduation-related activities which include communication with graduates, printing, and reprinting of certificates.
- Responsible for the full function of reception duties; Assist with all Extra-Time / Early Starter application processes, as well as with all general office inquiries (telephonically/via e-mail and counter) from students/ staff/public, related to examinations and graduations.
- NQF level 6 Advance Certificate/National Diploma. A degree would be an advantage.
- At least three (3) years of administrative experience in a University environment.
- Strong computer literacy skills e.g., proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the Student Systems/SIMS.
- Ability to communicate with diplomacy and professionalism at all levels.
- Must be prepared to work beyond standard working hours, if and when required.
- High levels of competence and organisational skills.
- High levels of honesty and integrity are essential.
- Able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
- An understanding of the University rules/ Senate Standing Orders and Policies governing University Administration, specifically in relation to graduation and examinations.
- Attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good Computer Literacy, with an excellent customer focus and teamwork skill.
