Requirements
- Diary and appointment management and rescheduling of appointments
- Answering incoming calls
- Ensure the smooth and effective functioning of the practice
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable always
- General administration
- Dictation of reports / letters etc.
- Preparation of patient files
- Ensure payment verification and collection
- Maintain collaborative relationships with the patients
- Maintain efficient patient service
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information
- Assist with stock ordering
- Medical aid supplier liaison
- Medical aid liaison
- At least 5 years - 7 year's experience (essential) in a similar medical receptionist position (orthopaedic medical experience preferred)
- Medical software experience will be an added advantage
- Strong typing skills to attend to the high workload of dictations
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
- Hardworking and flexible in terms of overtime subject to theatre lists
- Professional communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize
- Computer literacy and high attention to detail
- Excellent command of English and fluent in Afrikaans
- Well-presented and professional
Monday to Friday - 08h00 - 17h00 - this is a very busy practice with hours extending to 19h00 depending on workload and practice demands.
