The Events Manager is responsible for rooting our Reserve brands in popular culture and making them talked about and relevant for both consumers and customers.
The Events Manager will be accountable for the development and delivery of consumer and customer events aligned with Brand Engagement platforms. Shape culturally relevant narratives for our brands that resonate highly with consumers brought to life through integrated brand engagement platforms.
- Lead the way on measurement and evaluation around Events with the help of our measuring systems.
- Educate and inspire brand teams with proven results and learnings to shape future briefs and campaigns that are relevant for consumer and customers (and shoppers where required).
- Develop and deliver all the events programmes for all key brands optimizing for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with the Head of Reserve, CP&A and Marketing counterparts to define the appropriate goals, budgets, and strategies to deliver the events calendar.
- Work with Brand Ambassadors on developing the executional plans to drive cultural relevance via the on trade, events, and influencers.
- Consult brand teams on ATL campaigns and media plans to ensure consistency with brand and events strategy to Event execution.
- Set up key mentoring programmes against these critical groups and leverage these to drive advocacy, recommendations, and depletions.
- Manage activation and events agencies to effectively deliver on customer business plans.
- Work with key agency partners to execute the most efficient and effective experiential events to deliver on core business strategic objectives.
- Challenge standard practice to ensure Diageo is known as the best in events execution, and share / apply learnings across the different brands.
- Consolidate reporting on key initiatives and performance and intervene where required.
- Drive full compliance to DMC, GAR and CARM requirements for all initiatives.
- Appropriate tertiary marketing qualification degree / diploma
- Suitable Post Graduate Qualification is desirable
- Minimum 5 years experience in Customer Planning and Activation / PR / brand ambassador and events roles.
- Fully adept at localising global toolkits and engagement platforms into engaging stories, customised to each channel.
- Expertise in shaping media-worthy narratives that tap into consumer passion points and drive visibility and engagement at scale.
- Deep knowledge of local media landscape and cultural trends to develop revolutionary communication plans.
- Strong project management and planning skills.
- Brilliant relationship-building skills, with a strong ability to be able
- Experience in other Commercially oriented roles is desirable.
- Strong interest in data and campaign measuring tools to evaluate effectivity and efficiency of our culture campaigns.
