About The Role
As a Facilities Coordinator, you will be specifically responsible for the following:
- Carry out maintenance and light/minor repairs
- Carry out general renovations, paint work, plumbing and electricals
- Conduct investigations, evaluation, and restorations on identified general faults and/or breakages
- Ensure that health and safety measures are observed,
- Ensure that all safety incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the OHS Representatives and Associate Dean of Operations in the stipulated time frames
- Lock up all the buildings at the end of the day.
- Moving and reshuffling furniture and any other school equipment as needed.
- Keep and update inventory register of the tools of trade at all times
- Undertake other related duties and assignments as assigned from time to time
- Completed Grade 12; ideally you will have also completed a Technical Diploma or Certificate in plumbing/electrical
- Knowledge of General Safety principles
- Preferred work experience includes:
- Building/construction 3 years
- Gardening 2-3 years
- General maintenance duties 3 years
