About The Role

As a Facilities Coordinator, you will be specifically responsible for the following:
  • Carry out maintenance and light/minor repairs
  • Carry out general renovations, paint work, plumbing and electricals
  • Conduct investigations, evaluation, and restorations on identified general faults and/or breakages
  • Ensure that health and safety measures are observed,
  • Ensure that all safety incidents, accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the OHS Representatives and Associate Dean of Operations in the stipulated time frames
  • Lock up all the buildings at the end of the day.
  • Moving and reshuffling furniture and any other school equipment as needed.
  • Keep and update inventory register of the tools of trade at all times
  • Undertake other related duties and assignments as assigned from time to time
About You
  • Completed Grade 12; ideally you will have also completed a Technical Diploma or Certificate in plumbing/electrical
  • Knowledge of General Safety principles
  • Preferred work experience includes:
    • Building/construction 3 years
    • Gardening 2-3 years
    • General maintenance duties 3 years
