Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead & Optimize Facility Operations Define, monitor, and continuously improve IFMS contracts, activities, and metrics to meet evolving business needs.
- Drive Cost & Quality Excellence Establish critical metrics, cost controls, and performance benchmarks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion Sustainability & Energy Efficiency Lead sustainability projects to reduce energy and water consumption, lower the carbon footprint, and enhance green energy adoption in line with global PMI objectives.
- Strategic Budgeting & Procurement Define departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and collaborate with procurement to source cost-effective, high-quality resources.
- Ensure Compliance & Safety Align all facility management activities with South African regulations, EHS policies, and company standards.
- Equipment & Infrastructure Strategy Plan and implement utility-related equipment to meet business needs while ensuring reliability and long-term efficiency.
- Risk Management & Business Continuity Develop and maintain a contingency plan to ensure production continuity in case of disruptions with IFMS service providers.
- Leadership & Team Development Lead a high-performing team, set annual performance goals, and drive team development to achieve operational excellence.
- Degree or National Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial, engineering, facility management, or utilities operation role within a manufacturing plant.
- At least 3 years of experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating contractors (advantageous).
- GCC Factories / Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is preferred.
- Strong ability to assign projects, oversee execution, and deliver results with analytical precision.
- Eye for business to drive strategic department goals and align team objectives independently.
- Expertise in contract management, project execution, and process innovation.
- Strong leadership and team development skills, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Technical engineering expertise with a deep understanding of utilities, facilities, and sustainability practices.
