JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Faculty Coordinator supports the Head of Faculty by taking responsibility for full programme coordination for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. This means coordination of programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists. The Faculty Coordinator will be expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of assessments offered by the respective sites. They are to ensure that all assessments are received and distributed in accordance with DHET, CHE, UMALUSI and ETQA policy requirements and that it adheres to policies and procedures. They are responsible for ensuring that correct timetables are aligned to the academic calendar.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
At least a National Diploma or three-year Diploma with related Assessment or Education, Training and Development (ETD) exposure and experience.
A relevant Degree would be advantageous.
A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience as a Programme Coordinator or Assessor or experience in a similar role is required.
Knowledge of TVET and HET, ETD, SAQA, NQF, CHE and regulatory literacy is required.
Familiar with formal assessment and moderation practices, design and development, and assessment structuring is advantageous.
Excellent computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.
