Faerie Glen, Pretoria East: SOFTWARE TEST ANALYST
Job Purpose: Responsible for testing and evaluating the software applications and systems.
Minimum Requirements:
-South African Citizen
-Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (Must understand Afrikaans)
-Matric / Grade 12
-Fundamental of Software Testing qualification or similar qualification a must
-Software experience and knowledge
-Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar role
-Minimum 2 years’ experience in MS Office, especially Excel (Advanced)
-Good understanding of software development process
-Good understanding of the business approach
-Good judgment skills
-Good writing skills (for documenting the process)
-Good communications and consultancy skills
-Ability to work in a team and as an individual
-Good presentation skills
-Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
-Permanent appointment might be subject to probation period
-Stable employment record

Duties:
-Most of the current testing is manual, but the company is considering implement Jira and dependant on the growth of the department, they might go into automation testing.
-Support to Senior Software Test Analyst
-Design and executive test plans on computer applications.
-Record and document results and compare to expected results.
-Detect software failures so that defects may be discovered and corrected.
-Generate historical analysis of test results.
-Document anomalies and issues.
-Assist to identify database of software defects.
-Verify specific action or function of code.
-Operate and maintain test networks.
-Create meaningful error handling procedures for application code.
-Ensure compliance with general programming best practices, accepted web standards and those standards set forth by upstream sources.
Salary: R 18 000.00 – R 24 000.00 gross CTC maximum (Depending on relevant experience)
